Community Involvement

Since our birth in June of 1999 The Winthrop Marketplace has been, and continues to be, actively involved in the community. From cooking and donating food for Beach Day, to preparing fruit and cheese platters for the Harbor Cruise and other Chamber events, giving candy and goodies to the kids at the Halloween Haunt, donating food and gift certificates to many places of Worship and sports organizations in town, to donating hundreds of dollars to the Senior Center for their yearly raffle, The Winthrop Marketplace is always first in line to help the people and organizations of Winthrop.

Along with Marc and Chris’ great enthusiasm for their family, friends, and helping others, their knowledge of Winthrop and its demographics is a great asset not only to our business but to the town of Winthrop itself.

In our over twenty years of business we have employed well over 500 employees. Out of these 500, most of which are part-time local high school students, two have been with us since inception: Kevin Miccichi-Store Manager and Brian Macrina-Store Manager, and Theppi Carideo-Front End Supervisor and Robby Pumphret-Administration have been with us over 20 years.

With the crazy economic times we are now facing, The Winthrop Marketplace will stay actively involved in our community – by keeping a warm, clean friendly business offering fresh products and services on a daily basis.
